October 22 (Saturday) - 1 ska or punk band needed (must draw 20+ at Rubble’s)

We have sent out a few emails to potential artists for these shows, but have yet to hear back after a week’s time, so it’s now going to be first come first serve as long as you fit the show and could be a good draw for it.
Open submissions for our 2011-2012 series of shows
If you’d like to play one of our upcoming shows, please fill out this form. It will help us compile a list of bands in the area. Please also fill it out even if you’ve already played shows with us before. We want this to be a comprehensive list. Thanks!
A repost of sorts: We need microphones and ideally, a PA system
Hello friends.
The last 4 years of putting on concerts all over Michigan and even in Chicago has been a blast. Most of these shows have taken place in Mt. Pleasant, and mostly at Rubble’s Bar.
Now that it’s kind of a public thing, I can now say that doing shows at Rubble’s may not be our best option going forward for a few reasons. The leading reason being that bands are now required to provide their own microphones when playing there. Most bands do have a mic for their lead singer, but that’s about it. So the issue for us is having mics to for all vocals and ideally, all the instruments too so that we can provide the high quality sound that we’re used to.
So we’re asking for your help. DITR Promotions used to have a full PA system with a full compliment of mics and everything for our shows outside of Rubble’s (mostly the Wesley), but due to Midwest Fest and a few other shows in 2008 not going so well plus shows at the Wesley Foundation coming to an end, we sold off most of that system except for one vocal mic and one DI box.
Things we need:
*2-3 more vocal mics - Shure SM58s, Behringer Ultravoice, anything that provides a good clear sound
*2-3 instrument mics - Shure SM57s, or anything similar
* Drum mics - really just a kick drum mic and something for an overhead mic would do the trick, but we could also get away with just kick and snare too.
* 1-2 more DI boxes. We are hosting more and more electronic based bands and DJs, so DI boxes are imparitive.
*Cables
*Mic stands w/ clips
Things we want:
*a PA system that is loud enough to be used in a bar setting
Including:
* Speakers
* Sub or subs
* Monitors
* Cables
* Amps

We realize that’s a lot to ask for. Maybe you have some of these items laying around the house or know someone that does. Maybe you’d like to purchase one or more of these items for us off eBay or at a garage sale, etc. Maybe you’d just like to donate a few bucks so we can purchase these items ourselves.
The fact of the matter is, we need at least the vocal mics to even really be able to carry on with shows at Rubble’s. We will be doing more shows at Justice Records though and we’d also like to start hosting concerts at other bars or all ages locations in Mt. Pleasant and mid-Michigan once we have a PA system of our own again.
Re-post this to your friends if you could be so kind. And just continue to keep supporting your local music scene. These last 4 years have been (mostly) amazing. We wouldn’t still be doing this if it wasn’t for the awesome support we’ve had. We just want to keep live music alive in this area. Money has never really been a factor for us, and that’s why we bring you live music for so cheap on a regular basis. Please consider helping out if you can so we can continue to do so in the future!
